March 8th, 2010
Hello everyone! After a beautiful weekend we’re back in the office to share the sunshine with our clientele!
We’ve had a rough start this year as an Agency with losses in Jan & Feb. But spring has sprung! So let’s make March & April the best months of the year!
New business is a priority with competitive auto & homeowner’s products. Let’s try to move more business towards Safety. With their roll-over program we have an opportunity to raise our commission rates from 12% to 25% with their Home program. Just add in an Auto! (18% with Auto) This is a great opportunity to round out our accounts some more. It has been statistically shown that clients feel compelled to stay with more of their policies in one location.
And I want to congratulate Carol for turning over the most policies in to the Safety Program! Nice work!
Keeping our current client base is also a priority as more and more people are searching for the best deals out there. It’s common for people to receive quotes from 3 various Agents in town. And I’ve noticed it’s our customer service that wins over price.
With that in mind, further communication with our clients is also a priority. More personal the better including phone calls and personal notes. (try to remember their birthdays & other special dates such as their New Home Purchase Anniversary)
Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs teaches us that people have a general need to be a part of a group immediately after the basic survival needs (food, water, shelter). So let’s make them feel right at home here in our Agency! Calfee Cares.
Last month, we created an Email Acquiring Contest and I’m pleased with everyone punching in to Doris all these new email addresses !!!
And I want to congratulate Helen for having the most with 108! Having an email address in Doris makes it easy to communicate with our clients and for us!
With Arthur heading in to retirement we are making plans for the next generation to move us forward. So, I’ll be taking more of an active role in overall Principal management. Please direct all questions, comments & concerns to me for follow-up. With a new generation there is room for growth, retention & prosperity!
In order to move from Great to Excellent we must keep up with the times, work as a team and all move in the same direction. So look forward to new opportunities, more team building and road maps to help us move forward.
And in regard to road maps, let’s talk about Team Member sick days & vacation days. Please send all requests to me directly for approval. And when you need to take a personal sick day, please reach me on the cell phone (228) 424-1751. From time to time, we do become ill and I will allow 7 sick days per calendar year. After that vacation days may be used as personal days.
Without change, we won’t be able to move from Great to Excellent. So I hope everyone will jump on the bus so we can all move in the right direction.
Once the cash flow returns we can do some office & technology upgrades, internal profit sharing and provide more opportunities for growth.
And I’ll finish this note with our new Spring Contest. This time it’s geared toward new business! The office with the most new policies in March will win a fabulous lunch with your choice of venue.
So round those accounts and let’s make this the best month of March ever!
Take care,
Davidson
